Artist Support Pledge was launched to support the global network of working artists that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

When COVID lockdowns began rippling across the planet, in-person access to art came to a hard stop. UK artist Matthew Burrows came up with the brilliant idea to help artists whose exhibitions, galleries, and online workshops were suddenly and indefinitely shuttered.

The Artist Support Pledge concept is simple: Artists post images of work for sale - for no more than $200 (not including shipping) and if sales reach $1,000 I pledge to buy another artist’s work for $200 and pass on the support.

Of course, you don’t need to be an artist to participate.

By late April 2020, over 100,000 posts had been uploaded to the #artistsupportpledge hashtag on Instagram and over $25 million dollars had been spent to support artists.

How wonderful is that?

This page includes abstract paintings in acrylic or oil and cold wax. Some may usually sell at a higher price, but have been adjusted for this initiative.
